George Winter & Jean Leray Awards
These are the two prestige awards given annually by the European Society
for
Biomaterials. For further details please see the ESB
webpage. The George Winter award is established to recognise, encourage
and stimulate outstanding research contributions to the field of biomaterials.
The Jean Leray award is established to recognize, encourage and stimulate
outstanding research contributions to the field of biomaterials by young
scientists. Applications must be made to the ESB chairman
of the aawards committee and not the ESB2009 organisers.
ESB Travel awards
Student travel awards
Winners will receive a financial award to cover the registration fee and
to help with other expenses (hotel and/or travel). Receipts will be required.
Conditions:
* The candidate must be a student (certificate is required) from academic
or research centres of new or candidate EU countries or third world countries.
* The student applicant must have an accepted abstract.
* The candidate should complete an application form and send it to the
organising secretariat (email to come).
ESB Best student oral and poster presentations
awards
Winners will receive a financial award to cover the cost of the registration
fee and to help with other expenses (hotel and/or travel). Receipts are
required.
Winners will be announced during the ESB Assembly or the closing ceremony
of the conference, and to receive the reimbursement they will have to
send the appropriate receipts to the ESB Treasurer.
Conditions:
* The candidate must be a student (certificate is required).
* Candidates should have clicked the appropriate box included in abstract
author registration form in order to be considered.
* The student applicant must have an accepted abstract.
