Lausanne

Lausanne is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva on the foothills of the Swiss Alps. The conference will be held in the Beaulieu Convention Centre, located a stone's throw from the town centre and minutes from the lake. In a quiet green setting, with a view over the Alps and old city, it offers ideal working conditions for congress delegates. Beaulieu is located only 35 minutes away from Geneva Airport by shuttle. The transfer in public transportation from door to door is around an hour.

Lausanne is easily reached by all major transportation methods and is less than 1 hour train ride form Geneva airport. The public transport system in Switzerland is extremely efficient so we encourage participants to travel within Switzerland by train. Airport to Lausanne costs approximately €35 (return journey) by train.

Lausanne is the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic institutions and also has the Olympic Museum, a unique attraction. Lausanne also has an opera-house, several theatres, concert venues, twenty museums, home of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, alternative culture. Congress delegates and exhibitors have a wide choice of hotels situated in the center of Lausanne or by the lake. From all these establishments, it will take 5 to 15 minutes to reach the Beaulieu Congress Center.

The Beaulieu Conference and Exhibition Centre is 10 minutes by bus from the CFF railway station in Lausanne.

Car
Its proximity to the A9/E62 motorway makes it easily accessible by car: take motorway exit N° 9 Lausanne-Blécherette and follow the signposts for "Beaulieu".

Parking
The Beaulieu car park is open to the public 24 hours a day.
Its capacity of 580 parking spaces in the city centre is a plus for your convenience.
During exhibitions, the park-and-ride sites of La Blécherette and Le Vélodrome are also open at the same times as events. Shuttles provide transport for visitors to Beaulieu Lausanne.
